Local League Details

Our local leagues will be structured as Open divisions, meaning all players are welcome to participate regardless of gender identity or experience level. This format creates a more inclusive, competitive, and team-focused environment for everyone on the field.

WIFFA local leagues are structured as Open (Co-Ed) divisions, welcoming players of all identities and skill levels.

How the League Works

WIFFA organizes seasonal leagues that welcome players of all skill levels.

Teams compete in weekly games throughout the season, culminating in a playoff tournament to determine league champions.

Whether you are new to flag football or have years of experience, there is a place for you in WIFFA.

League Format

Typical league format includes:

  • 5-on-5 flag football
  • Weekly scheduled games
  • Team-based competition
  • Playoff tournament at the end of the season
  • Each team will be assigned a QB and a captain

Players register individually and are placed onto teams to ensure balanced competition.
