The Wisconsin Flag Football Alliance is a vibrant community that celebrates diversity in every aspect—from the varied temperaments and skill levels to the wide range of interests and backgrounds of our participants. Together, we create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and enjoy the game they love. To maintain this positive atmosphere, we have established a Code of Conduct that outlines the basic expectations for all participants. This Code serves to ensure that our activities are not only competitive but also safe and enjoyable for everyone involved. By adhering to these guidelines, we can all contribute to a supportive community where respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship are at the forefront. Let’s continue to play hard, have fun, and respect one another on and off the field!
All conduct must support the League's mission statement.
Every member must treat fellow members, players, referees, teams, spectators, playing fields, and the community positively and respectfully during any League-sponsored activity.
No member shall strike, shove, or use unnecessarily rough tactics against a player, referee, or spectator at a League-sponsored event.
No member shall engage in objectionable demonstrations of dissent, unsportsmanlike conduct, taunting, or other disrespectful behavior at a League-sponsored activity.
Members may only question or dispute a referee's decision in a respectful manner, and only by the team Captain.
No member shall participate in football if doing so poses a danger to themselves.
Enforcement of the Code of Conduct will be managed by the referees at each field and, if necessary, by the Board.
enforcement
For the first infraction, the referees will call a captains’ meeting at midfield and discuss with both captains the behavior that needs to be addressed.
For the second infraction, the referees will consult with each other and may expel the player from the game. The team that loses the player will continue down one player until the ball changes possession.
For the third infraction, the referees will refer the matter to the Board for further action. Penalties may include multi-game suspensions or expulsion from the League.
